The Novak Djokovic Racquet Head YOUTEK IG Speed

Featuring the newest Innegra technology by Head’s speed line, the Djokovic tennis racquet offers better vibration control than previous models.  The innegra technology, also used to strengthen surf boards, provides both a stronger make of the racquet and improved control on shots.

Many questioned the Djokovic new racquet switch right before the 2009 Australian open, but he seems to have finally gotten used to his new weapon.  The Serbian player previously played with a Wilson stick and the change to Head has been a part of his total tennis makeover–leading to incredible success in the 2011 season. After the results seen in this season, Djokovic is one of the most famous tennis players in the world today.

Switch From Previous Racquet

Coming into the 2009 Australian Open grand slam tournament Djokovic made the switch to Head tennis racquets.  His previous sponsor had been Wilson, the company responsible for the Roger Federer racquet.  Specifically, the model he used was before changing was the Wilson K Blade Tour.  This was a surprising change to make at the start of the season. Most professionals really questioned this decision by the Djokovic tennis camp.

Any small change to a racquet can throw off a player’s entire game and Djokovic had already been struggling with changes to his serve.  The Serbian was unable to defend his Australian Open title, lending credit to some of the theories that his switch to a Head racquet was ill advised.  As time went on however, the Novak Djokovic sponsor partnership with Head tennis racquets began to blossom .  In what can only be called the year of Djokovic, 2011 saw three of it’s four majors fall into the young Serbian’s hands. The tennis Djokovic played this year was nothing short of amazing.  If these results continue, the Djokovic Head relationship is bound to be a long and prosperous one.  He has shown that he can dominate the competition with the support of a Head tennis racquet behind him.

Make sure to catch all the action when Djokovic plays in the year end Barclays ATP World Tour Finals in London.  This will be the cap to the season and a good test to see his form going into 2012.
