Tennis Shoes for Kids: Best Youth Tennis Shoes from Popular Brands

Tennis shoes for kids unfortunately come in a much more limited selection.  While many of the popular brands do offer youth models, that isn’t necessarily the case for all of the best tennis shoes.  Here are some of the best kids tennis shoes that are specially adapted for the smaller sizes and youth play.

List of Youth Tennis Shoes for Kids

    • Adidas Barricade 6.0 – One of the current top shoe models that has been adapted for junior tennis players.  This shoe offers incredible levels of support which is very important for younger tennis players.  These shoes also offer great comfort and feel.  These shoes are available in both boys and girls colors.

    • Asics Gel Resolution 3 – Another shoe that provides a great amount of comfort that kids will appreciate.  The gel resolution lives up to its name by implementing great cushioning for an awesome feel around the court.

    • Babolat Propulse 3 – This is another high qaulity shoe that has suffered because of its lack of durability.  This is  less of a concern in tennis shoes for kids due to the less strenuous nature of the play.  Because of this reduced requirement of durability, this pair of shoes provides one of the best combinations of comfort and performance.

    • Prince T22 – This shoe is quite similar to the Barricade, if only a little less durable.  The support is tremendous while also maintaining a very nice fit.  Kids will appreciate the feel and comfort of these tennis shoes as well.

    • Wilson Tour Vision – These shoes are less known, but provide another high quality alternative.  The premier Wilson tennis shoes for kids come in a number of different cool color patterns and are built especially for aggressive junior play.  When it comes to youth tennis shoes, Wilson has one of the widest selections around, offering plenty of options for all different levels of junior player.

How Much do Youth Tennis Shoes for Kids Cost?

In most cases, the general rule is about half the price of the full-size shoe version.  For Adidas and other premier brands, this comes out to around 60-70, which is a little on the higher end.  Discount or bargain options on previous models of tennis shoes for kids can be as cheap as $30.  It depends largely on the type of quality you’re looking for, but the Prince T22 youth tennis shoes offer what I think is a great mix of value and performance at around $50.

Investing in a quality pair of tennis shoes is important and youth players are no exception to the rule.  Don’t hesitate to spend a little extra money to buy a high quality pair of kids tennis shoes.  They’ll enjoy the shoes and you’ll feel better knowing that they are supported by the best tennis shoe technology available.  Sometimes it’s better to avoid cheap or discount tennis shoes and just make the investment.
